For the last year, we've been working closely with the team at Facebook to create a solution for Shopify merchants to advertise and sell their products using Facebook’s “Buy” call-to-action button. This feature lets consumers purchase products they discover in their News Feed or on Pages without having to leave Facebook.
A small group of Shopify merchants are already using this solution to post products with buy buttons, and today we are expanding the beta test to include a variety of businesses.
What is the Facebook “Buy” call-to-action button?
The buy button allows consumers to easily purchase items they see on their News Feed or on Pages without leaving Facebook. Buying is safe and secure, and consumers can optionally choose to save their payment information with Facebook for future purchases. This makes purchasing easier, especially on mobile.
How can you start using the Facebook “Buy” call-to-action button?
Today we are beginning a beta test of the Facebook buy button with a group of US-based Shopify merchants. If you are among the invited merchants, you’ll see this message show up on the Home screen in your Shopify account over the next few weeks:
After adding the new Facebook sales channel to your Shopify account, you can start posting products with buy buttons, promoting those posts with paid advertising, managing all the customers and orders that come in from Facebook, and more.
Everything you need to manage your Facebook sales is provided by Shopify.
