Find out if you’re eligible for the program

  • To be eligible for the program, your business must be:

    • For profit, including for-profit social enterprises and cooperatives
    • Registered or incorporated
    • Consumer facing
    • Accessed by customers or providing in-person services
    • In possession of inventory that’s ready to sell
    • A minimum of one employee
    • Committed to maintaining a digital adoption strategy for 6 months after receiving the grant

    Ineligible businesses include:

    • Corporate chains, franchises, or registered charities
    • Representatives of multi-level marketing companies
    • Real estate brokerages

    Participating businesses must consent to participating in follow-up surveys, sharing their information with the Government of Canada (ISED and Statistics Canada), and publishing their business name as a recipient of funding.

  • Eligible businesses can receive up to $2,400 CAD in funding. Funding can be put towards eligible costs which include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Implementation of an ecommerce website
    • Website search optimization
    • Installation and subscription fees of an ecommerce platform
    • Back-office solutions that support ecommerce strategy
    • Social media advertising
    • Creating customer databases

    Ineligible costs include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Connectivity
    • Shipping of goods purchased through ecommerce platforms
