4. Present New Challenges

As the team leader, you need to be providing new and exciting challenges every once in a while to avoid creative stagnation.
Even a small challenge like letting your employees organize a team bonding session, for example, makes for something fresh for them to think about. Give them a budget, a time frame, and let them deliver the goods.
Naturally, the specifics of the challenges you set will rely heavily upon your industry, but don’t be afraid to experiment a little with your ideas.
At the same time, be sure not to throw employees in the deep end of their discomfort zone. Challenges should be challenging, not traumatizing.
5. Lead The Way
Perhaps the best way to empower a creative employee, is to become a creative leader. It’ll be no use crying out for creativity when you yourself contribute nothing innovative.
To invigorate your employees, give them an example to follow by over-delivering, showing initiative, being a inventive, and being open about your ideas.
