Now, I'll touch on why I love email marketing as a channel. Email marketing has been around for ages. It actually predates the worldwide web. And there's a reason it's called the cockroach of the internet-- it just doesn't die.
But the craziest thing is it's still the most profitable marketing channel there is. On average, every dollar invested in email returns $43 in sales. And, unlike social media or paid search, you own your email list. These email contacts are yours. You can reach them whenever you want.
And you're not locked into any one platform. And the best part about email marketing, most of it can be automated. So once you've set it up, there's very little ongoing work required. It does all the heavy lifting of generating sales for you. So if you haven't gotten set up with an email marketing app already, search email marketing in the Shopify app store and go and install one now.
